Pakistan to face Bangladesh today for Asia Cup final spot vs India.

DUBAI – Pakistan are set for a high-stakes Super Four clash against Bangladesh today, with a win securing their place in Sunday’s Asia Cup final against India. The Green Shirts are under pressure to fix their inconsistent batting, which has been their biggest weakness in recent outings. While Fakhar Zaman, Saeem Ayub, Salman Ali Agha, and Mohammad Haris have struggled, Hussain Talat and Mohammad Nawaz rose to the occasion in the last match against Sri Lanka. Sahibzada Farhan has been the standout with 156 runs, giving Pakistan much-needed stability at the top.

Captain Salman Ali Agha praised Shaheen Afridi as a “match-winner,” emphasizing that bowling first could prove crucial on Dubai’s slow surface. However, Pakistan cannot afford to underestimate Bangladesh, who recently upset them.

Bangladesh will miss captain Liton Das, but bowlers Mustafizur Rahman and Rashid Hussain, along with batsmen Saif Hassan, Towhid Hridoy, and Jaker Ali, remain key threats.

Pakistan’s batting order must step up—Ayub has only 23 runs in five innings, while Haris, Salman, and Nawaz have also failed to deliver consistently. With Shaheen Afridi, Haris Rauf, and Abrar Ahmed leading the attack, Pakistan will rely on their bowling depth and fielding edge to book a final showdown with India.
