Pakistan Ranks 198th Globally in Mobile and Broadband Internet Speed

According to a World Population Review report, Pakistan is ranked 198th out of 224 countries in terms of mobile and broadband internet speeds. The data reveals that Pakistan lags significantly in internet connectivity performance on the global scale.

  • The average mobile internet download speed in Pakistan is 19.59 Mbps, while the average broadband download speed is 15.52 Mbps. These figures place the country near the bottom, highlighting a need for improvement in digital infrastructure and connectivity.

In contrast, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) leads the global rankings for the fastest mobile internet speed, with an impressive average download speed of 297.62 Mbps. Singapore follows closely at 297.57 Mbps, and Hong Kong secures the third position.

Among other notable countries, the United States ranks 5th globally with an average download speed of 242.27 Mbps, while Chile claims the 4th spot, demonstrating significant progress in South America’s internet infrastructure.

India, Pakistan’s regional neighbor, has made notable improvements, ranking 72nd globally in internet speed, significantly outperforming Pakistan’s current standing.
