The Pakistan Army has confirmed that it delivered a decisive response to alleged Indian military aggression along the Line of Control (LoC), particularly targeting positions in the Poonch sector. According to official sources, the Pakistan Air Force executed precise retaliatory strikes, damaging Indian military assets during a carefully measured operation.
Indian media outlets, including The Hindu and NDTV, reported heavy casualties on the Indian side, with at least 10 soldiers killed and over 35 injured in a combination of air strikes and shelling. Reports also confirmed significant damage to Indian military positions across several areas of Jammu and Kashmir.

A major escalation was noted as Indian media and international agencies reported that three Indian Air Force jets — including Rafale, MiG-29, and Sukhoi Su-30 aircraft — were downed in separate incidents. An Indian surveillance drone was also reportedly shot down in the Barnala sector, further weakening India’s aerial operations.
The ISPR emphasised that Pakistan’s actions were strictly defensive and warned of continued readiness to counter any future hostilities. International observers have urged restraint from both sides to avoid further escalation in the region.
