Pakistan captain Babar Azam has improved his position in the latest ICC Test Rankings, moving up one spot to 22nd with 656 points.
Shan Masood, Pakistan’s Test captain, also made notable progress, climbing two places to 42nd with 576 points. Several other Pakistan players experienced mixed movements across batting and bowling charts.
Middle-order batter Saud Shakeel retained his 9th position with 734 points, remaining Pakistan’s highest-ranked Test batter. Wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan held 21st, while all-rounder Salman Ali Agha slipped to 28th.
Opening batter Imam-ul-Haq stayed at 51st, while Abdullah Shafique dropped one place to 57th. Kamran Ghulam remained unchanged at 85th. Further down, Aamer Jamal and Saim Ayub each rose one spot to share 94th with 345 points.
At the top of the batting ICC Test Rankings, England’s Joe Root continues to lead, followed by Harry Brook in second place. Travis Head climbed into the top three, now ranked third.
In bowling, Pakistan left-arm pacer Shaheen Afridi retained his 24th position. Mohammad Abbas and Sajid Khan both dropped a spot to 29th and 30th, respectively. Naseem Shah held 38th, while Hasan Ali moved up to 43rd with 480 points.
Spinner Abrar Ahmed slipped to 51st, Khurram Shahzad stayed at 70th, Aamer Jamal remained 78th, and Asif Afridi fell to 96th with 224 points.
In the overall bowling rankings, India’s Jasprit Bumrah continues to lead. Pakistan spinner Noman Ali holds second, and Australia’s Mitchell Starc is third.
