Day 3
Pakistan resumed at 64/3 on Day 3 of the second Test. Captain Mohammad Rizwan and Babar Azam formed a crucial 98-run partnership before Babar fell for 58 and Rizwan for 46. Contributions from Salman Agha (19), Aamir Jamal (15), Khurram Shahzad (14), and Mir Hamza (13) added some resistance. Saim Ayub was unable to bat due to injury, and Mohammad Abbas remained unbeaten at 0. South Africa’s Kagiso Rabada led the attack with 3 wickets, while Mpakhah and Keshav Maharaj claimed 2 each, and Wiaan Mulder and Marco Jansen picked up one apiece.

South Africa began Day 2 at 316/4, with Ryan Rickelton smashing an incredible 259 before being dismissed by Mir Hamza. Kyle Verreynne added 100 runs, Marco Jansen 62, Keshav Maharaj 40, David Bedingham 5, and Keegan Petersen was out for 0. Kagiso Rabada remained not out on 6. Pakistan’s bowling efforts saw Mohammad Abbas and Salman Agha take 3 wickets each, while Mir Hamza and Khurram Shahzad secured 2 wickets apiece.
