Pakistan Showcases 36 Technology Firms And Startups At GITEX 2025 (1)

Pakistan is highlighting its growing technology and digital potential at GITEX 2025, one of the world’s largest technology exhibitions, held in Dubai. The Pakistan Pavilion features 26 leading IT companies and 10 startups, focusing on software exports, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies.

Organized by TechDestination and the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP), the pavilion offers exhibitors enhanced branding, targeted promotional support, and access to curated networking areas such as the Connexons Lounge for business-to-business meetings.

Federal Minister for IT and Telecom, Shaza Fatima Khawaja, is leading Pakistan’s delegation at GITEX 2025. She will deliver a keynote address titled “Pakistan’s AI & Connectivity Drive: A Model for Emerging Economies”, highlighting the country’s achievements in AI, digital connectivity, and innovation-driven growth.

During the exhibition, the minister will hold high-level meetings with international counterparts to explore cooperation in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and digital governance. Scheduled discussions include the UAE Minister of State for Artificial Intelligence and Digital Economy, the Advisor to Romania’s Ministry of Economy, and representatives from the UAE Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology.

Additionally, Shaza Fatima Khawaja will meet the Secretary of Slovenia’s Ministry of Digital Transformation and witness the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between Pakistan’s National Computer Emergency Response Team (NCERT) and global cybersecurity firm Kaspersky.

Senior officials accompanying the minister include Faisal Ratyal, CEO of the National Information Technology Board (NITB); Muhammad Abu Bakr, CEO of the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB); and the Director General of National CERT.

The Pakistan Pavilion at GITEX 2025 highlights the country’s commitment to digital innovation, technology exports, and international collaboration. It positions Pakistan as an emerging hub for IT companies and startups in the global technology market.
