Pakistan Shoots Down Six More Indian Drones, Bringing Total to 35

On Friday, Pakistani security forces successfully intercepted and shot down six additional Indian drones, bringing the total number of downed enemy drones to 35, as confirmed by military and security sources.

The drones, all reportedly of Israeli make, were downed in various districts of Punjab, including Okara, Pakpattan, and Vehari. According to officials, four drones were shot down in Okara, while one each was intercepted in Pakpattan and Vehari.

Drones Intercepted by Air Defence Systems

A statement from security officials highlighted that the drones entered Pakistani airspace and were detected by radar systems before being engaged and destroyed by the air defence forces. A military spokesperson assured that Pakistan’s air defence systems are capable of tracking and neutralizing even small drones.

“Whenever such activity is observed, it is swiftly responded to under a defined operational framework,” the spokesperson added. The response adhered to standard operational protocols, particularly in areas near urban populations and commercial airline flight paths.

No Casualties Reported

Local police confirmed that the wreckage of the drones fell into agricultural lands near villages 154L and 114L, areas located near densely populated communities. Fortunately, no casualties were reported from Thursday’s incidents.

“The drones were immediately tracked and shot down upon entering our airspace. Timely action by the forces ensured the safety of civilian lives,” said a police official. The crash sites were secured, and the debris was collected for further analysis.

Ongoing Surveillance and Protection

Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) Director General assured the public that enemy drone activity is monitored round-the-clock. “Our radar systems maintain continuous surveillance, ensuring swift responses to any such intrusion,” he stated.

Earlier Drone Incidents

These latest incidents follow a similar operation earlier this week, where another Indian drone was shot down in Jassar village, Narowal district. Eyewitnesses reported that the drone was spotted around 9:45 AM, before it was destroyed by a rocket fired by Pakistani forces.

On Thursday, Indian forces reportedly launched a series of drone attacks across multiple regions of Pakistan. According to military officials, 25 Indian drones were shot down during the incursions. Unfortunately, the attacks resulted in the martyrdom of three civilians, with four Pakistani soldiers among those injured
