Maaz Sadaqat struck an unbeaten 79 to help Pakistan Shaheens cruise past India A by eight wickets in their ACC Men’s Asia Cup Rising Stars group match in Doha on Sunday. Chasing 137, Pakistan wrapped up the target in just 14 overs to book their place in the semifinals.
Sadaqat and Mohammad Naeem provided a strong start with a 56-run opening stand before Naeem fell for 14. Sadaqat kept the innings steady with support from Yasir Khan and Mohammad Faiq as Pakistan crossed 100 with ease and completed the chase without pressure.
Earlier, India began positively through Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Naman Dhir, but quick strikes from Shahid Aziz and Saad Masood derailed their progress. Regular wickets saw India bowled out for 136 in 19 overs, with Suryavanshi scoring 45. Shahid Aziz picked up 3/24, while Sadaqat and Masood claimed two wickets each, and Ubaid Shah, Ahmed Daniyal, and Sufiyan Muqeem added one apiece to seal a dominant win for the Shaheens.
