Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar held a telephone conversation with Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan on Saturday to discuss the escalating situation in South Asia following recent hostilities between Pakistan and India.
According to the Foreign Office, Dar briefed Prince Faisal on the latest regional developments, highlighting India’s recent attacks and Pakistan’s calibrated but effective response. He underscored Islamabad’s commitment to restraint despite mounting pressures.

Prince Faisal expressed sorrow over the loss of innocent lives and commended Pakistan’s efforts to de-escalate tensions. He stressed the need to avoid further deterioration and reaffirmed Saudi Arabia’s support for peace and stability in the region.
Both sides agreed to maintain close communication and continue consultations on issues of mutual interest, underscoring their shared concern over regional security.
