Pakistan-Rwanda Ties Celebrated on Rwanda’s Liberation Day at ISSI

The Centre for Afghanistan, Middle East & Africa (CAMEA) at the Institute of Strategic Studies Islamabad (ISSI), in partnership with the Pakistan Africa Institute for Development and Research (PAIDAR), hosted a special event to mark Rwanda’s Liberation Day. The ceremony featured national anthems of both nations and was moderated by Ms. Amina Khan, Director CAMEA.

Senator Mushahid Hussain Sayed, President PAIDAR, served as the Chief Guest and emphasized the significance of Rwanda’s Liberation Day as a tribute to the country’s resilience and unity after the 1994 genocide. He condemned global double standards on human rights and drew parallels with the ongoing crisis in Gaza. He also called for greater South-South cooperation, particularly between Pakistan and Africa.
