Working Opportunities In Kuwait Simplified For Pakistani Citizens

The Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development (OP&HRD) has announced plans to resume sending skilled workers to Kuwait. This decision follows Kuwait’s recent removal of a 19-year visa ban on Pakistani nationals.

Kuwait lifted the ban in May 2025, reopening visa applications for work, family, business, and tourism. The ban was initially placed due to security concerns. It also affected citizens from Iran, Syria, and Afghanistan.

The Overseas Employment Corporation, a government agency under OP&HRD, will manage the recruitment and deployment of Pakistani workers to Kuwait. Jobs available include warehouse supervisors, warehouse coordinators, warehousemen, carpenters, assistant furniture workers, drivers, and unskilled laborers.

Applicants for the warehouse supervisor role must meet specific criteria. They should be under 35 years old, hold a diploma or bachelor’s degree, speak English fluently, and have relevant experience in retail warehouses or logistics operations.

The last date to submit applications for these positions is August 15, 2025. This recruitment drive is important because remittances from overseas workers contribute significantly to Pakistan’s foreign exchange reserves. These funds help stabilize Pakistan’s economy, which faces ongoing challenges.

Pakistan and Kuwait have maintained strong diplomatic relations since 1963. Both countries cooperate in various sectors, including labor and trade. The resumption of sending workers to Kuwait is expected to boost this cooperation further.
