ISLAMABAD – Pakistan has confirmed another case of monkeypox, involving a 32-year-old man who recently returned to Islamabad from a Gulf country.
Health ministry officials stated that the individual tested positive upon arrival at Islamabad Airport, making this the eighth reported case of monkeypox in the country this year.

The patient, a resident of the Upper Dir region in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, is currently receiving treatment at PIMS Hospital.
According to the head of the Infectious Diseases Department at PIMS, the patient’s condition is stable and under control.
Authorities continue to monitor the situation closely as measures are taken to prevent further spread of the virus.
