The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Pakistan on Saturday strongly rejected allegations made by the Indian Foreign Minister. Pakistan called the claims baseless and irresponsible, asserting that India is attempting to divert attention from its own failures.
A Foreign Office (FO) spokesperson said, “Sabotage and extrajudicial killings through proxies remain a persistent pattern of India. Such allegations are an attempt to cover up India’s shortcomings.” The spokesperson added that Pakistan strongly condemns the anti-Pakistan statements made by New Delhi.
The FO highlighted India’s role in promoting terrorism and regional instability. Referring to the Kulbhushan Yadav case, the spokesperson called it “indisputable proof of state-sponsored terrorism.” Pakistan also warned that extremist ideologies like Hindutva continue to pose a serious threat to peace in the region.
On the issue of Jammu and Kashmir, Pakistan reaffirmed its support for the Kashmiri people. “India’s illegal and oppressive occupation of Jammu and Kashmir continues. Pakistan will fully support the right to self-determination of the Kashmiri people,” the spokesperson said.
The Ministry also addressed concerns regarding water security and the Indus Waters Treaty. Pakistan emphasized that the treaty is an international obligation. “Unilateral violations of the Indus Waters Treaty are unacceptable. Any breach could jeopardize regional stability,” the spokesperson warned.
Pakistan further stated that it would take all necessary measures to safeguard its water rights. The statement underscored the country’s commitment to protecting national interests while ensuring peace and stability in the region.
The response from Pakistan comes amid rising tensions between the two South Asian neighbors. Analysts say the statements reflect Pakistan’s insistence on adhering to international law and maintaining regional security.
