Pakistan Reduces Petroleum Prices by Up to Rs3.40 Per Litre

The federal government reduced petroleum prices by up to Rs3.40 per litre for the next two weeks, starting Monday. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif gave the approval for the price cut.

The finance ministry’s notification detailed the changes, with petrol prices dropping by Rs2.07 per litre and light diesel by Rs1.03 per litre. High-speed diesel saw a larger reduction of Rs3.40 per litre.

Following these adjustments, petrol now costs Rs247.03 per litre, high-speed diesel is priced at Rs246.29, and light diesel is available at Rs140.90 per litre.

Kerosene prices also dropped, with a reduction of Rs3.57 per litre, bringing it to Rs154.90 per litre. The revised prices come into effect from midnight tonight.
