The Russian embassy in Islamabad shared the news on X (formerly Twitter), confirming the delivery of 100,000 metric tonnes of LPG. This LPG was transported through Iran’s Sarakhs Special Economic Zone.

Discussions are already underway for a second LPG shipment, but we don’t have details on the price and currency used for payment yet.
Previously, Pakistan paid for Russian crude oil in Chinese currency, but the exact cost wasn’t disclosed.
This partnership is crucial for Pakistan’s economic stability and energy security, especially as it deals with financial challenges. It offers discounted energy imports, which help with their external payments and reduce reliance on costly imports.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
