Pakistan Railways to Run 5 Special Trains for Eid ul Azha

Pakistan Railways to Run 5 Special Trains for Eid-ul-Adha Travel Rush

Islamabad – Pakistan Railways has announced it will operate five special trains from June 2 to June 4 to accommodate the increased passenger demand during the Eid-ul-Adha holidays, according to an official spokesperson.

Special Eid Train Schedule

  1. June 2 – The first special train will depart from Karachi Cantt at 1:00 p.m., heading to Lahore.
  2. June 3 – The second special train will leave Quetta at 10:00 a.m. for Peshawar Cantt.
  3. June 3 – The third train will depart Lahore at 5:00 p.m., bound for Karachi Cantt.
  4. June 3 – The fourth train will depart from Karachi City at 8:00 p.m., en route to Rawalpindi.
  5. June 4 – The fifth and final special train will leave Karachi Cantt at 8:00 p.m., traveling to Lahore.

Coaches and Operations

According to Pakistan Railways, the first, second, and fourth trains will be equipped with coaches provided from workshops, while the third and fifth trains will use existing Eid special train rakes.

Purpose of the Initiative

The Eid special trains aim to:

  • Facilitate passengers traveling for the holidays,
  • Reduce crowding on regular routes, and
  • Ensure safe and smooth travel during the Eid-ul-Adha rush.
