Pakistan Railways has unveiled its schedule for five special trains that will operate during Eid ul-Fitr 2025 to accommodate the surge in travel demand. The special trains will cover several major routes, offering a variety of classes including economy, AC business, and AC standard to ensure comfort and convenience for all passengers during the festive season.
Railways headquarters has issued detailed instructions to all divisional officers to ensure smooth travel arrangements and operations during Eid, making it easier for citizens to travel and celebrate the occasion with their families.

In parallel, the federal government has declared public holidays from March 31 to April 2, 2025, in observance of Eid ul-Fitr. The Cabinet Secretariat issued a notification on Wednesday announcing the three-day break, allowing citizens to fully participate in the celebrations.
Additionally, the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee, along with zonal committees, will meet on March 30, 2025, to sight the Shawwal moon, marking the possible conclusion of Ramadan. The meeting will be held at the Ministry of Religious Affairs, where religious scholars and experts will gather to confirm moon sighting reports and finalize the date for Eid.
