Petrol prices in Pakistan are likely to see minor changes in early February 2026. Sources indicate a slight reduction in petrol, while other petroleum products may become more costly.

High-speed diesel is expected to rise by up to Rs9.47 per liter. Kerosene oil could increase by Rs3.69 per liter, and light diesel oil may see a jump of Rs6.95 per liter. Petrol prices, on the other hand, could fall slightly by up to 36 paisa per liter from 1 February.

Officials from the Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) have finalized initial calculations for petroleum product rates. The pricing summary will be sent to the Petroleum Division on 31 January. Following approval from the Prime Minister, new rates will be officially announced.

The revised prices are expected to remain effective until 15 February. In the last fortnightly review, the federal government decided to keep petrol prices and diesel rates unchanged. Officials had evaluated fuel trends, market demand, and supply conditions before making that decision.

According to the Petroleum Division, petrol price movements were carefully analyzed. They considered supply factors, domestic demand, and overall market conditions before maintaining existing rates. This approach ensures stability for consumers and businesses while fluctuating market trends.

While petrol may see a minor reduction, the expected increases in diesel and kerosene could impact transportation and household fuel costs. Analysts say the rise in high-speed diesel may affect freight and logistics charges, potentially leading to higher prices for goods and services.

The government continues to monitor international oil prices and local fuel consumption trends. Authorities stress that any adjustments aim to balance market stability with consumer protection. Petrol prices, though slightly reduced, are part of this broader assessment. You can also read our news on government measures in Govt Increases Petroleum Levy Pakistan to Absorb Global Price Relief.

Consumers are advised to stay updated on announcements from the Petroleum Division. The official rates will be published before 1 February 2026. This ensures clarity and transparency in fuel pricing across Pakistan.
