Hajj Operation 2025 Kicks Off in Pakistan as First Flight Departs for Madinah
Pakistan has officially launched its Hajj 2025 operation, with the national flag carrier, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA), successfully operating its first flight carrying 442 pilgrims from Islamabad to Prince Mohammad Bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah.
According to a PIA spokesperson, the first Hajj flight from Quetta is scheduled for departure at 10 AM, transporting 170 pilgrims. Later in the day, Lahore’s inaugural Hajj flight will take off at 10 PM, carrying 323 pilgrims to the holy city of Madinah.

During the first phase of this year’s Hajj operation, all special PIA flights will operate directly to Madinah. In the second phase, flights will shift to Jeddah.
To ease the travel process, special “Road to Makkah” immigration facilities—developed in collaboration with the Saudi government—are now available at Islamabad and Karachi airports. This initiative allows pilgrims to complete Saudi immigration procedures in Pakistan before their departure, reducing wait times upon arrival.
PIA’s pre-Hajj flight schedule will continue until May 31, while the post-Hajj return flights are set to commence on June 10 and will run until July 10.
