ISLAMABAD – Pakistan is celebrating Eid-ul-Fitr today, March 31, with religious devotion and enthusiasm.
Eid prayers were offered at mosques, Eidgahs, and open grounds across villages, towns, and cities. Special prayers were held for Pakistan’s prosperity and the freedom of Muslim territories, including Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and Palestine.
In Islamabad, the main Eid prayer took place at Faisal Mosque, attended by government officials, foreign diplomats, and the public.

Leaders’ Eid Messages
President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif extended warm Eid greetings to the nation, emphasizing the values of unity, gratitude, and compassion.
President Zardari highlighted the significance of solidarity and urged citizens to support each other in building a prosperous Pakistan. He also prayed for the freedom of the people of Kashmir.
PM Shehbaz Sharif addressed the challenges Pakistan faces, urging national unity against extremism, sectarianism, and external threats. He reaffirmed the government’s commitment to economic recovery, law and order, and social stability.
He honored the sacrifices of Pakistan’s armed forces in the fight against terrorism and expressed solidarity with the families of martyrs, including those lost in the Jaffar Express train incident.
The premier also called on the global community to act against human rights violations in Palestine and Kashmir, reiterating Pakistan’s unwavering support for oppressed Muslims worldwide.
