Pakistan has launched a new educational initiative called the “Pakistan-Bangladesh Knowledge Corridor.” This project aims to strengthen ties between Pakistan and Bangladesh by promoting higher education and training opportunities.
The initiative was announced during the visit of Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar to Bangladesh. It marks an important step in deepening cooperation between the two countries.
Under this program, Pakistan will offer 500 scholarships to Bangladeshi students over the next five years. These scholarships will help students pursue higher education in various fields. Notably, 25% of these scholarships will be reserved specifically for medical studies.
In addition to scholarships, Pakistan will also organize training programs for 100 Bangladeshi civil servants. These programs aim to improve administrative skills and promote knowledge sharing between the countries.
Furthermore, the Pakistan Technical Assistance Program will increase its scholarships for Bangladeshi students from 5 to 25. This move reflects Pakistan’s commitment to expanding educational exchange and capacity building.
Officials from Pakistan’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs highlighted that the Knowledge Corridor will foster closer relations through education and skill development. The initiative will provide Bangladeshi youth with valuable learning opportunities and promote mutual understanding.
