Pakistan’s military confirmed that over 200 Taliban fighters and terrorists were killed in powerful retaliatory strikes along the Afghan border. The strikes came after an unprovoked cross-border assault that targeted Pakistani security posts earlier this week.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), Pakistani forces launched precise and large-scale operations against multiple militant hideouts, command centers, and training camps located near the border. These strikes were described as a “measured and decisive response” to the attacks.

ISPR reported that 23 Pakistani soldiers embraced martyrdom, while several others sustained injuries during the initial assault. The military’s counteraction destroyed several Taliban compounds and neutralized high-value targets believed to be behind recent cross-border attacks.

Pakistan has repeatedly urged the Afghan Taliban to prevent terrorist groups from using Afghan territory as a safe haven. The ISPR stated that such cross-border aggression will not be tolerated, warning that Pakistan reserves the right to defend its soil against any threat.

Tensions remain high along the border, as Islamabad continues to demand firm action from Kabul against terrorist outfits operating in the region. Analysts believe this marks one of the strongest military responses by Pakistan in recent years.
