Pakistan has moved closer to entering the satellite internet sector as the Space Activities Regulatory Board (SARB) has granted a No Objection Certificate (NOC) to Starlink for its operations.
Sources confirm that Starlink has met SARB’s regulatory requirements and received clearance from the Ministry of Interior. With the NOC secured, the Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) is expected to issue a license within two weeks.

Starlink has already applied for a PTA license and submitted its technical and business plans for review. The company has completed key registration phases, obtaining approvals from the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), the Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB), and SARB. The final step is PTA’s licensing approval.
Once licensed, Starlink will roll out its satellite internet services in Pakistan. PTA is currently reviewing documents to ensure compliance, and officials confirm that Starlink’s operations will not disrupt existing telecom infrastructure.
