The Pakistan Sports Board (PSB) has approved a daily allowance of $115 per player for the national hockey team. This decision comes ahead of Pakistan Hockey Players’ departure for the FIH Pro League.
PSB Director General Muhammad Yasir Pirzada said the allowance was approved according to the government-sanctioned budget. He added that it will cover all expenses for Pakistan Hockey Players during their participation in the upcoming international matches.
Hockey official Butt welcomed the revised allowance. He said the amount was reasonable under the current government budget. “It is not bad at all. More importantly, the daily allowance issue has been settled,” he added.
Pakistan Hockey Players are scheduled to play four matches in the second round of the FIH Pro League. The team will face Australia on February 10, Germany on February 11, Australia again on February 13, and Germany on February 14. These matches are important for Pakistan’s international hockey ranking and preparation for future tournaments.
The approved allowance is expected to boost the morale of Pakistan Hockey Players. With financial matters resolved, players can focus fully on training and match preparation. Officials believe this support will allow the team to perform at its best.
