Pakistan Exports Vehicles Valued At Rs. 1.41 Billion In Three Years

The Senate was informed that Pakistan exports 434 locally assembled vehicles over the past three years, generating Rs. 1.41 billion in revenue. The information was provided in a written reply by the Finance Minister.

According to the data, Pakistan exported 100 vehicles in fiscal year 2022–23, 107 vehicles in 2023–24, and 227 vehicles in 2024–25. This shows a steady increase in vehicle shipments abroad.

The vehicles were exported to 20 countries, reflecting growing international interest in Pakistan-assembled models. Lawmakers noted that while export volumes remain modest, the upward trend demonstrates potential for expanding the automotive sector.

Officials said that Pakistan exports of locally assembled vehicles highlight the need to strengthen production quality and meet global standards. Encouraging manufacturers to focus on exports can help boost foreign exchange earnings.

The Finance Minister emphasized that with proper government support and incentives, the country can increase Pakistan exports in the automotive sector. Lawmakers discussed measures to assist local automakers in marketing their vehicles internationally.

Experts believe that the steady rise in vehicle shipments shows Pakistan’s potential to become a reliable supplier of locally assembled vehicles. Pakistan exports can further grow with improved supply chains, better quality control, and international certifications.

The Senate session highlighted the importance of sustaining this growth by addressing production capacity, improving logistics, and ensuring compliance with international standards. Authorities were urged to monitor trends closely and provide guidance to manufacturers.
