Pakistan made a remarkable impact at the 2024 US Junior Open Squash Championship, with two young athletes earning gold medals in their respective categories.
Mahnoor Ali, a rising star in the squash world, became the first Pakistani female to win the prestigious title in the Girls U-13 category. At just 11 years old, Mahnoor showcased her exceptional talent by defeating Hong Kong’s Xyan Yin in a thrilling final with a 3-1 victory (11/6, 11/5, 10/12, 11/8). This win adds to her growing list of achievements, which includes a gold medal at the 2024 Australian Junior Open and a bronze at the 7th Borneo Junior Open 2023. With 17 gold medals in her young career, Mahnoor is quickly establishing herself as a dominant figure in international squash.

Her journey has been supported by the BARD Foundation, headed by Bilquis and Abdul Razak Dawood. Abdul Razak Dawood expressed immense pride in Mahnoor’s accomplishments, highlighting how she inspires young girls around the world by showing that women have the power to change the world when provided with the right opportunities.
In addition to Mahnoor’s success, Muhammad Harmas Raja also made his mark by winning gold in the Boys U-11 category, further cementing Pakistan’s strong presence at the tournament.
