Pakistan Dominates Bangladesh in Junior Asia Cup Hockey

Pakistan continued their dominant run in the 2024 Junior Asia Cup Hockey with a commanding 6-0 victory over Bangladesh in Muscat, Oman, on Thursday, maintaining a perfect record in the tournament. This follows their impressive 7-2 win against China in the opening match, keeping them at the top of their group.

Match Highlights:

  • Sufyan Khan was the standout player once again, scoring a brilliant hat-trick. Pakistan took the lead in the 23rd minute with a penalty corner conversion from Sufyan.
  • Mohammad Ammad doubled the lead shortly after with a field goal, making it 2-0.
  • Sufyan Khan extended the lead with two more goals in the 32nd and 43rd minutes, completing his hat-trick.
  • Rana Waleed added a goal in the 51st minute, and Zakiya Hayat rounded off the scoring with a sixth goal in the final minute of play.

Player of the Match:

  • Mohammad Ammad was named Player of the Match for his all-round contribution, which was crucial in Pakistan’s dominant performance.

With this victory, Pakistan will now face the hosts Oman on November 30, where they will aim to maintain their perfect record in the group stages.
