BULAWAYO: Pakistan secured a 57-run victory over Zimbabwe in the first T20I at Queens Sports Club, with Sufiyan Muqeem delivering an impressive performance, taking 3 wickets for 20 runs.
Zimbabwe, chasing 166, were bowled out for 108 in 15.3 overs. Sikandar Raza was the top scorer for the hosts, contributing 39 off 28 balls, while Tadiwanashe Marumani added 33 from 20 deliveries. However, the rest of the batting lineup faltered. Abrar Ahmed also claimed 3 wickets, and Haris Rauf chipped in with 2 dismissals.

Earlier, Pakistan, led by Salman Agha, posted 165/4 in their 20 overs. Tayyab Tahir remained unbeaten on 39 off 25 balls, and Irfan Khan scored a quick 27* off 15 balls. Usman Khan (39) and Saim Ayub (24) made notable contributions at the top of the order.
The next games in the series are scheduled for December 3 and December 5. Pakistan’s squad for the series includes emerging talents and rested key players like Babar Azam and Shaheen Afridi.
