[vc_row][vc_column][vc_column_text]ISLAMABAD: The Pakistan Day parade, which was supposed to take place today, has been rescheduled due to inclement weather, according to the President’s Office.

The joint services parade, which was scheduled for Aiwan-e-Sadr, has been rescheduled for March 25.

Pakistan Day commemorates the March 23, 1940, passage of the Lahore Resolution, in which the All-India Muslim League demanded a separate nation for the Muslims of the British Indian empire.

On Thursday, the country will mark Pakistan Day with a renewed pledge to transform the country into a “true Islamic welfare state” in the vision of Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah, as well as to ensure its progress, prosperity, and strong defence.
