Federal Information Minister Attaullah Tarar on Monday led a group of international and local media representatives to the Line of Control (LoC) in an effort to challenge what he described as India’s “baseless propaganda” about alleged terrorist camps along the border. The visit, organised by the Ministry of Information, aimed to showcase the “ground realities” in response to persistent claims from Indian authorities.
During the tour, media personnel visited several areas previously cited by India as militant hideouts. Addressing the press, Mr Tarar emphasised that these locations were in fact home to ordinary civilians, and the media had directly engaged with locals affected by what he called a false narrative.

The minister underlined Pakistan’s stance as a responsible state that rejects terrorism in all its forms, while also warning India against making unsubstantiated allegations. He urged New Delhi to reflect on its human rights record in the Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) before casting accusations across the border.
Mr Tarar concluded by reaffirming Pakistan’s commitment to defending its sovereignty and promoting transparency. He stressed that the country would continue facilitating such visits for the international community to expose misinformation and reinforce its message of peace.
