Pakistan strongly condemned Israel’s recent attempt to declare parts of the Occupied West Bank as so-called state property and to expand illegal settlement activities, calling the move a clear violation of international law. The statement was issued by the Foreign Office of Pakistan on Monday.
The Foreign Office emphasized that such actions disregard United Nations Security Council and General Assembly resolutions and must be rejected by the international community. Pakistan warned that Israel’s provocative measures continue to undermine prospects for a just, comprehensive, and lasting peace in the region.
Pakistan urged global actors to take concrete steps to end Israeli impunity and ensure adherence to international law. Officials highlighted that ongoing settlement expansions threaten the rights and security of the Palestinian people and complicate efforts to achieve peace.
Reaffirming its stance, Pakistan reiterated full support for the Palestinian people’s right to self-determination. The country stressed the need for the establishment of an independent, viable, and contiguous State of Palestine based on pre-1967 borders.
The Foreign Office also underlined that Al-Quds Al-Sharif (Jerusalem) must remain the capital of a future Palestinian state, emphasizing the importance of protecting sacred sites and ensuring political and religious rights.
Pakistan called on all members of the international community to adopt firm measures against violations and work collectively toward a sustainable peace framework that respects international law and Palestinian rights.
