The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has issued a weather advisory, forecasting rain and snowfall across multiple regions of the country between February 19 and 21. Western winds are expected to bring a significant shift in weather conditions, including strong winds and rainfall, starting from the upper areas of Pakistan.
Punjab is set to experience gusty winds and heavy rain, particularly in cities like Lahore, Sargodha, Mianwali, Bhakkar, and Gujranwala. Other districts such as Khushab, Hafizabad, Mandi Bahauddin, and Gujrat will also see rainfall, with the possibility of the weather system spreading to the surrounding areas. Meanwhile, hill stations like Murree and Galyat are preparing for both rain and snowfall, with snow likely extending to other regions in the province.

On February 19, lighter rain is expected in cities such as Multan, Dera Ghazi Khan, and Bahawalnagar, while snowfall is expected in the hilly areas. The Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has advised tourists to stay cautious and adjust their travel plans accordingly. PDMA Director General Irfan Ali Kathia emphasized the active monitoring of the situation and reminded citizens to avoid unnecessary travel during adverse weather conditions. The PDMA helpline 1129 remains available for emergencies.
Along with rain and snow, most regions of the country will experience cold and partly cloudy weather. Isolated areas in Gilgit-Baltistan, Upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and northeast Balochistan may see thunderstorms and light snowfall in the hills. The temperatures this morning were recorded as follows: Islamabad and Muzaffarabad at 7°C, Lahore at 15°C, Karachi at 22°C, and Murree at 2°C.
