Pakistan Begins Second Phase of Hajj Flight Operations

second phase of Pakistan’s government-sponsored Hajj 2025 flight operation commenced on Thursday.

Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Sardar Muhammad Yousaf, welcomed 305 pilgrims who arrived at Jeddah airport from Islamabad under the “Makkah Route” initiative.

Key officials, including Director General Hajj Abdul Wahab Soomro, Chief Coordinator Dr. Mirza Ali Mehsud, Director Makkah Azizullah Khan, Consul General Khalid Majeed, and Saudi representatives, were also present.

By May 31, around 46,000 Pakistani pilgrims are expected to arrive in Makkah through Jeddah, with plans to travel to Madinah after completing Hajj rituals.

The minister emphasized the urgent delivery of Nusuk Cards to all pilgrims and confirmed that all 2,800 pilgrims arriving from Madinah to Makkah had received theirs.

He also stressed food quality standards, warning that catering services failing to meet requirements would be blacklisted. Additionally, officials reported an increase in the number of buses transporting pilgrims to Masjid Al-Haram.
