Pakistan and Bahrain have agreed to expand cooperation in the health sector, reaffirming their commitment to strengthening bilateral ties in areas of mutual interest.
The agreement came during a meeting between Federal Health Minister Mustafa Kamal and Bahrain’s Health Minister, where both sides discussed ways to enhance collaboration in healthcare, medical education, and public health management.
According to an official statement, the meeting focused on developing joint initiatives for medical research, digital health systems, and the exchange of healthcare professionals. Both ministers also expressed interest in launching training programs to build capacity and improve service delivery in hospitals across both countries.
Minister Mustafa Kamal highlighted Pakistan’s efforts to modernize its healthcare infrastructure and welcomed Bahrain’s support in sharing technical expertise. He emphasized that cross-border partnerships are vital for achieving sustainable progress in public health and ensuring access to quality medical care for all citizens.
The Bahraini Health Minister appreciated Pakistan’s commitment to improving healthcare standards and noted that Bahrain looks forward to deeper institutional cooperation in disease prevention, vaccination programs, and pharmaceutical research.
