Pakistan Army Crushes Terror Hideouts, 37 Militants Killed in Mohmand and Abakhel.

Security sources have confirmed that the Pakistan Army has eliminated 37 terrorists in two major intelligence-based operations (IBOs) conducted in Mohmand District and Abakhel, underscoring the country’s continued resolve to root out terrorism.

According to official reports, the operations were initiated following credible intelligence about terrorist hideouts linked to recent acts of violence. The swift and precise response by security forces resulted in a heavy exchange of fire, leaving 37 militants dead. These individuals were reportedly involved in attacks targeting security personnel and civilians, as well as sabotage activities in sensitive regions.

During the raids, troops recovered a large cache of arms, ammunition, and explosives, thwarting potential terror plots aimed at destabilizing the region. Following the operation, sanitization and clearance drives were launched to eliminate any remaining threats and restore normalcy.

Security officials emphasized that Pakistan’s armed forces remain fully committed to the mission of eradicating terrorism and maintaining internal stability under Operation Radd-ul-Fasaad. They reiterated that no element seeking to disturb peace will be spared.

Local residents in the affected areas praised the Army’s courageous and timely response, saying that the successful operations have restored a sense of safety and confidence among citizens. Community elders also urged authorities to continue intelligence coordination and strengthen border security to prevent cross-border infiltration.

The latest success comes amid heightened security concerns along the western frontier. Recently, Field Marshal Asim Munir briefed President Asif Ali Zardari on the Afghan Taliban’s aggressive and provocative actions and Pakistan’s measures to safeguard its sovereignty

Officials noted that despite these internal and external pressures, Pakistan’s security apparatus remains vigilant and resilient. The armed forces continue to collaborate closely with intelligence and law enforcement agencies to prevent the resurgence of militant groups and ensure lasting peace.

The recent operations in Mohmand and Abakhel, they added, demonstrate the Army’s professionalism, operational readiness, and deep-rooted commitment to defending the nation against all forms of terrorism.
