Pakistan’s security forces have successfully eliminated all 30 terrorists responsible for the deadly October 7 attack in Orakzai district. The military confirmed that the operation was launched immediately after the assault, which had claimed the lives of 11 soldiers, including two officers.

According to the details, the intelligence-based operation (IBO) was conducted over two days, targeting the hideouts of the attackers. The militants were linked to a banned outfit believed to be operating with external support. All 30 terrorists involved in the ambush were killed during intense exchange of fire.

Among the martyrs were Lieutenant Colonel Junaid Tariq and Major Tayyab Rahat, who led their teams bravely during the confrontation. The fallen soldiers were honoured for their courage and dedication to the nation.

The security forces also recovered weapons, ammunition, and communication equipment used by the militants. The operation was aimed at ensuring that no member of the terrorist group escaped justice.

Military officials stated that Pakistan’s armed forces remain determined to eliminate terrorism from the country. They reiterated that the sacrifices of the martyrs would not go in vain and that such acts of violence will only strengthen their resolve.

The Orakzai district, which lies in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa region, has witnessed several militant attacks in recent years. However, the army’s swift and decisive response this time has been seen as a clear message to hostile elements operating against Pakistan’s peace and stability.
