The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has announced a 15-member squad for the upcoming three-match T20 International series against Bangladesh. The series will begin on July 20, 2025, in Dhaka and will be played at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium.
Pakistan will be led by all-rounder Salman Ali Agha in the absence of regular T20I captain Babar Azam, who has been rested for the series. The squad reflects a focus on young talent and players who performed well in the recent Pakistan Super League (PSL) Season 9.
Two key players, Shadab Khan and Haris Rauf, have been ruled out due to injuries. Shadab underwent successful shoulder surgery in the United Kingdom and is expected to be out for several weeks. Haris Rauf suffered a Grade 1 hamstring injury during a Major League Cricket (MLC) match in the United States.
Among the fresh faces is right-arm pacer Salman Mirza, who impressed selectors with nine wickets in just four PSL matches. Other notable selections include Saim Ayub, Khushdil Shah, Mohammad Nawaz, and Abrar Ahmed, offering a good mix of youth and experience.
The Pakistan team is set to arrive in Dhaka on July 16. The matches will be played on July 20, 22, and 24, with all games starting at 6:00 PM local time.
This tour follows Pakistan’s recent 3-0 series win against Bangladesh at home in May, giving the team confidence heading into this series.
Pakistan’s T20I squad for the Bangladesh series features fresh faces, but experienced players may return soon. Fakhar Zaman may join Pakistan squad for Australia series, boosting the team’s batting strength.
