Pakistan and Saudi Arabia Conclude Joint Naval Exercise Affaa Al Sahel VII in Karachi

The joint bilateral military exercise “Affaa Al Sahel VII,” between the Special Operations Forces (SOFs) of the Royal Saudi Naval Forces (RSNF) and the Special Service Group (SSG) of the Pakistan Navy, wrapped up successfully in Karachi. The highlight of the exercise was an intense Final Test Exercise (FTX), which marked the culmination of the multi-day drills.

Rear Admiral Faisal Amin, Commander Coast of the Pakistan Navy, along with senior military officials from both Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, attended the closing event. The final exercise displayed the advanced operational capabilities of both forces through joint live-fire drills, precision raids, and dynamic rappelling maneuvers, all performed in a simulated high-threat environment.

The focus of the drills included counterterrorism operations, hostage rescues, and coordinated maritime interventions, emphasizing the forces’ ability to work together seamlessly under pressure. These high-risk scenarios tested the tactical proficiency of both RSNF and SSG (N) teams in complex maritime security situations.

The successful completion of “Affaa Al Sahel VII” strengthens the military cooperation between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia, enhancing the interoperability of their Special Operations Forces. The exercise has contributed to bolstering both nations’ capabilities in addressing shared maritime security threats and improving the effectiveness of their combined forces.
