Pakistan and Saudi Arabia have officially completed all major preparations for Hajj 2026, confirming their cooperation to ensure smooth and well-managed pilgrimage operations. The final agreement was signed during a meeting held in Jeddah, where Saudi Deputy Minister for Hajj and Umrah, Dr. Abdul Fattah bin Suleiman Al-Mishat, and Pakistan’s Federal Secretary for Religious Affairs, Dr. Syed Ata-ur-Rahman, represented their respective countries.
During the signing, Dr. Ata-ur-Rahman expressed deep appreciation for Saudi Arabia’s continuous support and dedication to improving services for visiting pilgrims each year. He acknowledged the extensive arrangements made by the Kingdom to facilitate millions of Muslims who travel to perform Hajj, highlighting that Pakistani pilgrims have especially benefitted from these improvements in recent years.
He assured that Pakistani pilgrims undertaking Hajj in 2026 will once again receive high-quality facilities similar to those provided previously, with added emphasis on comfort, security, and better crowd management. He also reiterated that Pakistan’s Ministry of Religious Affairs is actively working to complete all operational requirements well in advance. This includes arrangements for both the government-run Hajj quota and the private Hajj operators.
The Ministry aims to ensure that all logistics — including accommodation, transport, guidance, and essential services — strictly follow the standards and guidelines set by the Saudi authorities. The partnership reflects a shared commitment to making Hajj 2026 more organized, efficient, and spiritually fulfilling for Pakistani pilgrims.
