In Rawalpindi, during the 260th Corps Commanders’ Conference at General Headquarters (GHQ), top military leaders expressed serious concerns about the ongoing Gaza-Israel conflict. They particularly emphasized the significant toll on innocent civilians due to Israel’s disproportionate use of force.
The Chief of Army Staff, General Syed Asim Munir, conveyed the Pakistani nation’s diplomatic, moral, and political support for the principled stance of the Palestinians. He commended the Palestinians for their resilience in addressing the long-standing issue of unlawful occupation of their territories and sacred places of Muslims, referring to them as brothers.
In addition, the participants paid their respects to the martyrs of various incidents during the holy month of Rabiul Awwal and acknowledged the sacrifices of security forces and law enforcement agencies in combating terrorism.

The forum collectively asserted its determination to address all terrorists, their supporters, and collaborators acting on behalf of hostile forces seeking to destabilize Pakistan.
Furthermore, the conference included discussions on the current geo-strategic landscape, national security challenges, and their strategy in response to evolving threats. They reaffirmed the Pakistan Army’s commitment to safeguard the sovereignty and territorial integrity of the country against both direct and indirect threats.
The attendees also pledged full support for strategic initiatives aimed at revitalizing the economy, focusing on benefiting the people of Pakistan. A comprehensive assessment was conducted concerning efforts against illegal economic activities. The COAS stressed the army’s commitment to supporting the government and law enforcement agencies in taking lawful actions against such activities throughout the nation.

The conference resolved to strengthen actions against hoarding, smuggling networks, and cartels, aiming to eliminate the adverse impacts of these practices on the country.
Moreover, they expressed their full backing for the federal government’s decision to repatriate and deport illegal foreigners starting on November 1, 2023. The Army Chief directed all relevant authorities to ensure a smooth, dignified, and secure process for the repatriation and deportation of illegal foreigners.
In conclusion, the importance of maintaining high standards of professionalism and motivation during operations, as well as achieving excellence in training for military formations, was underscored.
