PAF Pows Stronger Response if Pakistan’s Sovereignty Threatened: Air Chief Marshal Zaheer

Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Babar Sidhu lauded the outstanding role of the Pakistan Air Force (PAF), recalling how the force responded decisively when India challenged Pakistan’s sovereignty by shooting down one of its most advanced fighter jets.

He said that if Pakistan’s territorial integrity is ever threatened again, the PAF will be even stronger, better prepared, and fully equipped to defend the nation.

While addressing the graduation ceremony at the PAF Academy Risalpur, the Air Chief appreciated the presence of Saudi cadets, calling it proof of the deep cooperation and strong military ties between Pakistan and Saudi Arabia. He reminded the graduates that safeguarding the nation’s skies is a sacred duty entrusted to them.

Air Chief Marshal Sidhu noted that the hopes of the entire nation rest on the new officers of the PAF. He praised the unity shown by Pakistan’s armed forces, highlighting how their combined efforts and strategic coordination overcame an enemy force that was larger in numbers.

He referenced Operation Marka-e-Haq as an example of joint military success achieved through decisive leadership, coordinated action by all three services, and the guidance of Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir. He said the PAF’s victory was not only a military achievement but also a demonstration of unity, faith, and courage.

Reflecting on the past challenge to Pakistan’s sovereignty, he recalled how the PAF downed enemy fighter jets despite having limited aircraft, maintaining its legacy of professionalism and excellence, even with fewer resources.

He also praised the strategic and modern approach of the PAF, mentioning the induction of advanced aircraft and technology under the Smart Induction Program. He asserted that the PAF has consistently proven its professionalism and innovation in air warfare and remains fully prepared to counter any threat.

The Air Chief reaffirmed that Pakistan is a peace-loving country, but as a responsible nuclear state, it remains strong and well-prepared. He expressed confidence that the armed forces and the nation will continue to protect Pakistan’s ideological and geographical boundaries at every cost.
