A Pakistan Air Force (PAF) contingent, including JF-17 Thunder Block-III jets and a C-130 Hercules transport aircraft, has arrived in the UK to take part in the Royal International Air Tattoo (RIAT) 2025, which begins on July 18, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The PAF’s participation highlights its operational strength, aviation excellence, and commitment to showcasing indigenous technological advancements on a global stage.

During the deployment, PAF’s JF-17 Block-III fighters successfully conducted air-to-air refuelling mid-journey with support from an IL-78 tanker — demonstrating the force’s long-range capability and mission endurance.

Equipped with EASA radar and long-range BVR capabilities, the JF-17 Block-III is a 4.5-generation multi-role fighter capable of executing diverse combat missions, enhancing Pakistan’s national security.

The deployment has stirred interest among aviation enthusiasts in the UK, particularly following recent regional tensions, with the JF-17 Block-III gaining attention for its combat record and technological advancement.

Meanwhile, the PAF’s C-130 Hercules has been specially painted in line with RIAT’s theme, “Eyes in the Skies,” symbolizing vigilance and air superiority. The creative livery is expected to be a major attraction.

PAF’s participation in RIAT aims to promote global collaboration, share aviation expertise, and reinforce its image as a modern and capable air force contributing to international peace and security.
