Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh has issued a strong warning of potential further military action following recent airstrikes in Pakistan, which prompted immediate retaliation by Pakistani forces.

Singh emphasized India’s readiness to escalate if provoked, framing the strikes under Operation Sindoor as a shift toward a more aggressive defense posture. Although the airstrikes were claimed to target alleged militant sites, they resulted in civilian casualties, including children. India claims around 100 militants were killed, though the figure remains unconfirmed.

The Defence Minister’s remarks underscored a clear change in strategy—India is no longer limiting itself to defensive actions and is prepared to act preemptively if necessary. “We don’t seek escalation, but will not hold back if provoked,” Singh stated.

With Operation Sindoor ongoing, India appears poised for further military engagement, indicating a possible troop buildup along the Pakistan border. The evolving situation is drawing global attention amid fears of intensifying conflict.
