On Tuesday, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) member Omar Ayub Khan was officially designated as the Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly (NA). The formalization of this appointment was completed as the National Assembly secretariat released an official notification regarding the opposition leader’s role in the lower house of parliament.

Following discussions, Omar Ayub Khan had a meeting with the National Assembly Speaker, Ayaz Sadiq, who assured him that the notification would be issued promptly. Despite existing disagreements and tensions among political factions, the notification for the opposition leader has now been issued.
