Ogra Announces Significant Cut in Imported LNG Prices for May 2025

The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) has announced a significant reduction in the prices of imported liquefied natural gas (LNG) for May 2025, offering substantial relief to consumers served by Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) and Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited (SNGPL).

According to the notification issued by Ogra, the revised prices, effective from May 1, show a decrease of 13.64% for Sui Southern, with the new price set at $10.81 per MMBTU, compared to the previous price of $12.59 per MMBTU in April. For Sui Northern, the price has been reduced by $1.68 per MMBTU, bringing the new rate to $11.59 per MMBTU, down from $13.47 per MMBTU in April.

This reduction is expected to provide financial relief to consumers and ease the financial burden on LNG users across the country.
