Nvidia has reported its strongest quarter in history, driven by unprecedented demand for its AI hardware. In Q3 2026, the company sold more AI chips than ever before, surpassing its forecasts and generating $57 billion in revenue. This translates to roughly $4,000 in profit every second.
The company’s data center division led the growth, contributing $51.2 billion in revenue. This represents a 66% increase compared to the same period last year. The division also expanded by $10 billion in just one quarter, highlighting its importance in the ongoing AI boom.
Investors continue to view Nvidia’s data center performance as a key indicator of the broader AI market. Despite concerns about sustainability, the company expects demand to remain strong. Nvidia has forecasted $65 billion in revenue for Q4, which would require an $8 billion increase within three months.
CEO Jensen Huang said Nvidia is selling every AI server chip it can produce. “Blackwell sales are off the charts, and cloud GPUs are sold out,” he explained. He added that supply is sufficient, assuring, “We have plenty of Blackwells coming.”
The Blackwell Ultra chip has become Nvidia’s top-performing product across all customer segments. Earlier Blackwell generation chips also continue to see strong demand.
Gaming revenue rose 30% year-on-year, signaling growing interest in Nvidia’s Blackwell gaming lineup. The RTX 50-series GPUs had mixed reviews at launch, but sales are now improving steadily.
During the investor call, Huang addressed concerns about a potential “AI bubble.” He stated that Nvidia sees a very different picture from inside the industry. According to him, AI has reached a pivotal stage that will transform computing. The shift toward agentic and physical AI systems will be revolutionary.
