Pakistan’s rising star Noor Zaman has qualified for the main draw of the British Open Squash Championship, maintaining his impressive run on the professional tour. The World Under-23 champion secured his place after a 46-minute victory over Egypt’s Kareem El Torkey, winning 11-5, 11-8, 3-11, 11-7 in the qualifying final.
Zaman had earlier defeated England’s Will Salter and Adrian Waller in tough matches, showcasing his skill and endurance. Seeded 10th in the qualifiers, he is the first Pakistani to reach the British Open main round since 2022 and will face England’s Curtis Malik in the first round.
