In Lahore, protests erupted as private college students took to the streets, reacting to reports of an alleged rape involving a security guard and a female student. However, the situation took a turn when the girl’s father, accompanied by Punjab Police’s ASP Shahrbano Naqvi, clarified the matter through a video statement.
The father explained that his daughter sustained a back injury at home, which led to her hospitalization, and that there was no incident of rape. He expressed dismay at the protests and urged the public to respect their privacy, condemning the sharing of his daughter’s photos online.
