NLC garners attention at Uzbekistan's "Made in Pakistan" exhibition

The “Made in Pakistan” exhibition, held from June 28 to 30 in Tashkent, Uzbekistan, was a significant event that brought together over 80 corporate logistics companies. Organized by the National Logistics Corporation (NLC), the exhibition garnered participation from government officials, business leaders, and industry representatives from Pakistan and Uzbekistan. Over the course of three days, attendees had the opportunity to assess the NLC’s capabilities in facilitating cross-border transportation. The Director General of NLC presented a detailed paper on end-to-end multimodal logistics aimed at boosting regional trade.

A key outcome of the event was the series of business-to-business meetings conducted between the NLC team and Uzbek officials, resulting in approximately 2,000 meetings. A notable highlight was the signing of a $40 million Memorandum of Understanding between a Pakistani company and the government of Bukhara, underscoring the potential for economic collaboration. High-level discussions also took place between heads of the International Investment and Export departments, the Textile Industry Association of Uzbekistan, and the Chief Executive of the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan. These engagements aimed to strengthen bilateral trade relations and explore new avenues for cooperation.
