A major hardware change comes with the redesigned Joy-Con controllers, which now attach magnetically and introduce a new “C” button, enhancing interactive chat and screenshare capabilities.

At launch, the Switch 2 will debut with several exciting titles, including “Mario Kart World”, which introduces an open-world mode for players to explore freely. Nintendo has scheduled a dedicated “Mario Kart Direct” event on April 17, 2025, to unveil further details.

Another notable launch title is “Nintendo Switch 2 Welcome Tour”, designed to familiarize players with the console’s new features. The Switch 2 also supports most physical and digital games from its predecessor, though some titles may not be fully compatible.

To give fans an early look at the new system, Nintendo will host “Switch 2 Experience” events in major cities, including Los Angeles, New York, London, and Paris, starting this month.

Details on pre-orders have yet to be announced, with Nintendo urging fans to stay tuned to official channels for updates.
